Affiliate and Office Updates During COVID-19 Pandemic
GIS Insurance: GIS has closed its offices to visitors. However, offices are still fully functional and staff is available via phone or email during normal business hours: Monday through Friday 8 a.m. -5 p.m. Majority of staff are working remotely to assist clients and prospective clients. Liberty Title : Liberty Title & Escrow will remain operational under the directive as an essential business. We will continue to close transactions with modified operational procedures in order to ensure the health and safety of our agents, lenders and staff. Drive-Thru Closings: We are now conducting closings with the convenience of Drive-Thru Services. Liberty Title & Escrow will now facilitate all transactions from the safety of your client’s vehicle. Our agents will deliver documents to their car, watch as they sign pertinent documents and leave instructions for them call in with questions as they sign the remaining documents. Once they finish, we will return to collect the documents and give them further instructions. United Federal Credit Union/James Kist: Business as usual. Has the ability to facetime or set up a virtual meeting through WebEx if needed also. Will still travel and work out of the main location in South Bend also.
TA Roberts: They are continuing to conduct Pest Inspections, Well Chlorination's & Water Testing
Meridian Title Company:
Wells Fargo Home Mortgage/Stephanie Stout: Working both remotely as well as at the office as needed and can be reached via email, office phone and cell number.
Farm Credit/Rural 1st-Randi Webber: Farm Credit/Rural 1st has loan officers working remotely. Offices are ‘by appointment only’ at this point in time. We are still here to help with those rural living needs!
US Insepct/Jason Sommer: US Inspect and myself are still conducting business as normally as possible. We are adhering to safety protocols and have updates on our website as well.
Mike Schultz Assessor: Assessor's office is closed to the public. We are answering our phones and email from home. 219 326-6808. They can go to the LaPorte County Government website for more information on the Assessor's office
Fidelity Title Company: Fidelity Title is adjusting their business practices based on customer needs. If clients request closings done curbside, they are providing that option. If they want to come in we are having them come in separately, so the seller at one time and then the buyer 15 minutes later. If they can’t leave their home, we are sending a notary person to their house.
Housemaster/William Kaufmann: HouseMaster Home Inspection is operating at this time. We are taking the obvious precautions when inspecting to ensure we do not pick up or contaminate any homes.
Pillar to Post/Tim James Team: We are still operating as normal for inspections, but we are following social distancing on inspections (maintaining 6 feet from clients). Also, we are only allowing 2 clients maximum per inspection. Obviously, our inspectors are also using handwashing/hand-sanitizing protocols, cleaning their equipment in between inspections, etc. as well.
National Property Insurance/Rick Brooks: National Property Inspections/Rick Brooks are still performing home inspections using protocols for safety to our best ability.
Metropolitan Title Company: Metropolitan Title is open and conducting Virtual IPAD Closings. Closings will continue to be facilitated at our offices. Our closers will be in the office guiding the buyers and sellers through document signing while safely keeping their distance, from their work desk. Buyers and sellers will sign separately and have the option and are encouraged to wait in their vehicles for their turn before and after signing. We ask that you limit the number of guests to only those signing, their agents and or loan officers. Our Office, closing rooms and work desks are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before, during and after each closing. We also provide hand sanitizer conveniently at each closing table. If any person involved in the closing is unwell with cold or influenza type symptoms we may need to postpone the closing. We genuinely appreciate all that have been diligently doing their part to keep COVID-19 at bay and we will continue to give our best efforts in keeping everyone safe.
Real estate and legal services are exempt from the “quarantine” executive orders in both Indiana and Illinois. I am “open for business” for clients needing real estate and business legal services – residential/commercial, buy/sell/lease, individual/limited liability company/land trust, tax/estate planning, etc. For those owning property, this is a good time to consider exit/succession planning for their estates. I am available via email and phone primarily. Selected in-person meetings are possible.
Aardvark Home Inspectors: Aardvark is still working but
working in accordance to strict guidelines that they have set forth.
All our home inspectors have taken an InterNachi Course which teaches
CV19 safety guidelines.
Quality Home Inspections: Quality Home is open for business and adhering to the strict Covid-19 guidelines and safety protocols.
Real Estate Office Updates
Coldwell Banker 1st Choice: Coldwell Banker 1st choice has made the decision to close our physical offices to the public to help keep all our agents, staff and the public safe. Our offices will be open but with limited access, if someone does need to come in we ask that it be by appointment only. We are available via phone, email, or through our website cbk1stchoice.com . Our agents will continue to preform their duties as Realtors they will have the option to work at the office or remotely (using social distancing), with the guideline that if you don't need to be at the office then STAY HOME!!! Our agents will do their best to follow all state, local, and CDC guide Lines for social distancing. If an Agent from another office needs to drop off earnest money or any other document we have a locked mailbox outside or front door at our La Porte office. At this time we will do our best to keep our office running with the least amount of disruption as possible. Jay and I are committed to the health and safety of our Agents, Clients and Community and all that make that up!! We wish you all health and Safety!! We will continue to monitor the situation and update you on any further precautions we may need to take or hopefully when we can relax the current ones.
